How a working day runs through it
The day gets recorded
Attendance is logged against the same directory everything else trusts. Working remotely counts as present; a future day with no record is “not marked”, never “absent”. Declare a holiday once and it is honoured everywhere — a holiday outranks leave, so nobody spends leave on a day the organisation was closed, and attendance outranks the holiday, because someone who worked, worked.
Leave meets arithmetic
A request reserves nothing until it is decided — the balance shown is always the balance that is true. The approver sees what approving would leave the person before deciding, can never decide their own request, and every rejection carries a reason. Cancel an approved request and the refund is exactly what the approval debited. When the system refuses something, it says why in plain words.
The record holds
Joining, leaving, structure changes, decisions — everything lands on an audit trail in human words, naming who did it. Employment history is never deleted: leaving sets a date and freezes the record. When someone asks “what happened here?”, the answer is a page, not an investigation.
